Ashley and Taylor have known each other since in high school. They met at church in their youth group. They were mutual friends, but didn’t actually start dating till 2018, quite a few years after they graduated. The two got engaged on March 9th, 2020. "It was the best day" Ashley recalls. Taylor asked her dad for her hand and planned out a “couples photoshoot” for a date, and at the end he proposed! Ashley was so happy that, "The entire thing was so special and we have photos and a video to remember it forever!"
When searching for a wedding venue, Ashley and Taylor were looking for somewhere that was affordable, versatile, and open. A friend of Ashley's found A Simple Affair on Instagram and sent it her way. "Immediately I fell in love with the venue just through photos. It was exactly what I was looking for." Ashley said.
Ashley and Taylor's wedding was a rustic meets modern style that complimented the look of the venue perfectly. They went with mainly greenery with black and gold accents that were so classy! In the end, they just wanted a beautiful day and felt like the simple decorations were the perfect accent to bring it all together. And when it comes down to it, the most beautiful decoration at a wedding is a happy couple!
Ashley and Taylor's wedding day was so special to them! During their ceremony they were able to do communion together and seal the deal with a kiss and the signing of their marriage license.
Ashley, Taylor and their guests enjoyed their time celebrating the most important day of their lives, together, at A Simple Affair.
