Wedding Story: Sydney & Luke 8.21.2020
Sydney and Luke met at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. At first, they were just friends, but ended up dating later on. Their love story blossomed as they continued to date long distance for about two months while Luke was at home in Tennessee and Sydney was in Las Vegas. The two kept in touch writing each other as each left to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints. When COVID hit, they both returned home, picked up dating where they left off and knew they were meant to be together forever!

The two were engaged in May, 2020. Luke had planned a really cute hike that Sydney was not excited to go on. They ended up going, and at the top of the mountain there was an area set up with flowers, lights and candles. After seeing this, Sydney turned to Luke and he asked her to marry him! She of course said, yes! Luke also planned for two of Sydney's best friends and her parents to be there to witness the occasion without her knowing.

The couple decided to be married in the Las Vegas, Nevada LDS Temple. When planning their wedding reception, they were looking for a venue in Sydney's home town that was affordable, indoors, and fit the aesthetic of her wedding theme. Sydney wanted a bohemian/vintage look for the décor and opted to use A Simple Affair's new light wood tables.

They wanted to go with a neutral color pallet and simple greenery for florals. Accents on the table settings included, macramé, tea light candles and pampas grass. Sydney really liked the simple but more vintage look which went very well with her bohemian styled wedding dress.

For their own personal touches on their wedding day, they each had their favorite foods for their catering. In-N-Out Burger for Luke, Canes chicken fingers for Sydney, and an 18 layer chocolate chip cookie cake that was decadent!

Luke & Sydney enjoyed their romantic ring ceremony and had a blast dancing the night away with their friends and family at A Simple Affair.
As their neon sign stated, life is so much "better together"!
