For Kyesha and Brianna, New Year’s Eve isn’t just a holiday—it’s the anniversary of the day they first met in person. After connecting on the dating app HER, the two realized they had an instant, inseparable connection (and a shared love for a local dive bar just behind Kyesha’s house!).
Exactly one year after that first meeting, they returned to where it all began—Las Vegas—to celebrate their marriage with a "Black-Tie Optional" party that redefined elopement.
From Elopement to "Intimate Elegance"
The couple initially planned to elope with a simple chapel ceremony and a nice dinner. However, they soon discovered the logistical challenge of hosting 30 people at a high-end restaurant on the busiest night of the year in Vegas.
"I found A Simple Affair and was beyond grateful for the elevated feel, all-inclusive pricing, and in-house assistance," Kyesha shared. "The venue gave our family and friends a chance to eat well, love on one another, and dance the night away—something we wouldn’t have experienced in a fancy restaurant."

Two Proposals, One Perfect Ring
The road to the altar included two incredible surprises. First, Brianna proposed atop a mountain in the Dominican Republic with a breathtaking view and a ring that left Kyesha speechless. Not to be outdone, Kyesha later surprised Brianna in a rose garden—complete with their two daughters, a heart made of roses, and neon "Will You Marry Me" lights.
The Big Day: Tears, Tacos, and Custom Touches
The wedding day was an emotional whirlwind. Brianna recalls the moment she first saw Kyesha after hair and makeup: "I could barely control my emotions." For Kyesha, walking down the aisle was a moment of "full-heart gratitude."
The reception was a masterclass in personalization. The couple featured custom drink stirrers, a linen table runner for the sweetheart table, and even miniature drinking games at every table. When it came to the food, the guests were treated to a 10/10 spread featuring:
