When we say our venue is a hidden gem, we mean it. Tucked away from the neon lights of the Strip, A Simple Affair offers a sanctuary where couples can step out of the everyday and into a world that feels entirely their own. For Augie and Leks, that world was one of romance, tradition, and a nod to a very "sweet" beginning.
The Meet-Cute: From "In-N-Out" to "I Do"
Every great love story has a beginning, and theirs started at a local favorite: In-N-Out Burger. Leks was the new manager, and for Augie, it was "forbidden love" at first sight. The icebreaker? A Starburst candy that Leks didn’t really want but took anyway.
The spark truly flew later when Augie invited Leks over to her house. She built a real fire in the fireplace, and they spent the evening sharing Del Taco on the floor and a few drinks. A week later, they headed to The Pizza Press for their first official date, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

The Proposal: A Las Vegas Surprise
Leks carried the ring from August 2023 until February 2024, waiting for the perfect moment to surprise Augie. With the help of his sister, he transformed a hotel room into a romantic dream featuring "Will You Marry Me" light-up bags and rose petals. In a beautiful full-circle moment, he even used Starburst candies to decorate the space.
Augie’s answer? A resounding "Yes"—eight times, to be exact!
The Vision: A Whimsical & Romantic Wedding Theme
Augie and Leks wanted their wedding to feel like an escape. "A Simple Affair takes you to a different place," they shared. "The aesthetic is truly one of a kind. You walk in and forget you’re in a shared parking lot... it truly helps make your day magical."
They chose a sophisticated palette of Navy Blue and Rose Gold. The inspiration started with the rose gold undertones of Augie’s stunning gown, complemented by Leks in a sharp navy suit. To bring the vision to life, Refined Florals provided the botanical touches to soften the industrial-chic space, all captured by Vegas Professional Photography.

The Big Day: Traditions and Personal Touches
While many choose Las Vegas for its quick chapels, Augie and Leks were determined to keep tradition alive. They opted against a "first look," choosing instead to save that emotional moment for the altar. That breathless pause right before walking down the aisle remains their favorite memory of the entire day.
To make the space feel like home, they incorporated several DIY elements:
Custom Table Numbers: Hand-crafted to fit their whimsical theme.
Interactive Guest Book: Guests snapped polaroids, taped them in, and left personal notes.
The Sweetest Spread: Between a custom creation from Vegas Cakes and the Crumbl Cookies offered through our venue, the dessert bar was a massive hit all night!

Pro-Tip for Planning a Wedding in Las Vegas
When asked for a piece of advice for those currently planning their Las Vegas nuptials, Augie’s advice was simple:
"Don’t give up on tradition. Sure, one-stop-shop chapels are fun, but keeping some of the tradition while still being in Vegas is so worth it."
