For Sidney and Patrick, their special day at A Simple Affair was exactly that—an effortless blend of romantic details, deep personal connection, and a room full of people ready to celebrate.
It Started with Shift Work & Friendship
Sidney and Patrick’s love story proves that you really can find forever in the most unexpected places—like working shifts together at Panda Express. What started as a solid two-year friendship slowly turned into the realization that they were meant to be much more than coworkers.
When it came to the proposal, Patrick attempted a stealth mission to pop the question as a complete surprise. Sidney, however, saw right through him—she knew exactly what was happening the second they started driving to the spot. (Surprise or not, the "Yes!" was instantaneous!)

Sidney and Patrick describe themselves as simple people, so when searching for a Las Vegas wedding venue, they wanted an aesthetic space that felt effortless without sacrificing charm. Finding A Simple Affair was the perfect match—our versatile layout gave them the ease of having both their ceremony and reception in one seamless location.
To anchor their day, they brought in a dreamy color palette of deep purple (a long-time favorite for both of them), soft creams, and fresh greens.
Personal touches made the venue feel uniquely theirs, starting right at the entrance with a hand-lettered welcome mirror and custom card box crafted by Sidney’s mom. Brandi from HOYA Event Planners brought the rest of the wedding design together, while Vanessa at Honey Fire Photography captured every quiet smile and big laugh throughout the night.
Seeing Each Other at Last
While an open bar kept the energy high and guests on their feet all evening, the real magic happened when the noise faded away. For both Sidney and Patrick, nothing compared to that exact moment they locked eyes down the aisle and finally got to say "I do."
